Once
the Directorate is satisfied with the proposal submitted by a particular
applicant, a consortium (i.e. a contract) is created between the successful
candidate and the Commission.
The
contract in itself creates a new entity which will be the mediator or the
working group between the European Directorate and the legal entity. It is
formed by a Project Officer who will be the head of the system, the
Coordinator who will be his direct correspondent, two main Leaders who
will be responsible for the direct running of the enterprise, and their
members who will help them throughout the process.
This
team has to constantly work and operate throughout the undertaking process
and every six months a meeting is held in Brussels or Luxembourg for
reviewing purposes. For this particular meeting the ED Project Officer, the
Coordinator, and the two main Leaders have to prepare a detailed report of
the operation and how granted funds are being distributed in order for the
approval of the two appointed independent expert reviewers.
Punctuality,
presentation and innovation are the most important aspects to be
achieved in order to be effective within this field of work.
